My stomach growled a little (ok, a lot) upon review of this picture I snapped from some of my grilling exploits, and that being the case I felt it necessary to share. Usually I'm a bit more DIY with my brats, but this practically makes itself if you can be bothered to slice an onion. After hitting two onions and 2 tbsps of butter with some high heat in my cast iron skillet for about 10ish minutes, I brought the heat down to medium, added a can of cheap beer, and 5 brats. Flip the brats once during their 10-12 minute soak, and finish on the grates for not more than 2 minutes on each side over high heat if sexy grill marks are your desire.
